Week 5. A Special Holiday

You returned from a holiday yesterday. Read an e-mail from your friend, Mike:

Hi. I haven’t heard from you in a couple of weeks – have you been on holiday? Where did you go? Did you have a good time? Tell me all about it!

Are you coming to the soccer match next Saturday? Come on Cruz Azul!

See you later,
Mike

Now write your reply to Mike's e-mail. Write 100–150 words. Include information about the following:

  • Where you went on holiday.
  • What you saw and what you did.
  • What you liked and didn’t like about it.
  • Answer Mike's other questions.

  • Here's a sample answer:

Hi Mike. Thanks for your e-mail. Anna and I went to Stockholm for a week. We had a really great time. When we booked it, I wasn’t sure about the weather in Sweden but it was very sunny and warm.

Stockholm’s quite a big city and there are a lot of beautiful, old palaces. We went sightseeing every day. We stayed in a hotel in downtown so we could walk everywhere. The hotel organized some excursions and one day we went on a boat trip, which was a lot of fun.

We liked everything about Stockholm, but Anna didn’t like the food. I loved the meatballs and fish, but all the dishes tasted too strange for her. On the last day, I tried reindeer meat – it was OK, actually!

I’m definitely coming to the match on Saturday. I’ll show you some photos of Stockholm.

See you on Saturday (148 words)
